Introducing the new digital Fundraising Badge
By Daisy Houghton, Head of Communications and Corporate Services at the Fundraising Regulator
The Fundraising Regulator has launched a digital Fundraising Badge, helping organisations showcase their commitment to legal, open, honest, and respectful fundraising.
This aligns the Fundraising Regulator with other UK regulators that now provide similar digital tools.
The benefits for fundraising organisations
More than just a logo, the digital Fundraising Badge allows users to verify your registration status with a single click. It’s designed to increase transparency and build trust with your supporters.
To date, over 200 fundraising organisations have already adopted the badge.
Join them and benefit from:
- Direct verification: Links directly to your Directory entry, enabling the public to confirm your status quickly.
- Automatic yearly updates: Ensures your website always reflects the latest registration details.
- Cross-platform compatibility: Works across devices and websites.
- Customisable options: Available in colour, black-and-white, Welsh-bilingual, and scalable sizing.
Get started in two simple steps
Add / update your domain(s)
Log in to your Fundraising Regulator account on the registered users’ area to add or confirm the website domain(s) where you’ll display the badge. This ensures the badge links correctly to your Directory entry.Select, copy, and paste
Go to the Get your digital badge page, select your preferred badge style (colour, size, bilingual), and copy the HTML snippet. Paste the snippet into your website where you’d like the badge to appear. The badge will update automatically each year.
For materials such as charity bags, direct mail, street fundraising, email signatures or printed advertisements, the print version of the Fundraising Badge remains available.
By displaying the digital Fundraising Badge, you show your dedication to upholding the highest standards in fundraising practice.
