For the first time in eight years the fundraising levy will be increased. This increase will take place over two years, beginning in September 2024. You can find out how we made this decision here.
The levy will be increased for all charities on a progressive scale so that the charities who spend the most on fundraising will see the biggest increase. We have also introduced two extra bands so that the rise in levy payments is more gradual as charities move up the payment scale. From September 2026 the levy will increase on an annual basis taking into consideration the Consumer Price Index.
We have also increased the cost of registration for smaller charities from £50 to £60.
